My New Bird Feeder

It was plus 24C at our home 4km from the shore of Lake Ontario; however, when we got to the beach with the wind blowing in briskly from the cold cold water of Lake Ontario it was a lot colder. Lexy and Quinten enjoyed feeding bread crumbs to the seagulls but the kids kept putting their hands over their ears because of the noise the birds were making. Click here to see a few more pictures.

BBQ time ! ! !

The weather is really heating up here. At 5pm it was 18C but it felt a lot warmer with the sun shining and no wind. It sure was nice to fire up the BBQ after 5 months waiting for that first steak !

Stepson's Family

Wenda and I visited her son (my stepson) Terry Eames, his fianceé Natalie and Natalie's son Anton. They are a young family that is quite happy together in Ajax. It was a bit of a celebration today so we dropped by to help celebrate.

Aiden Scores a Goal

Aiden played center on the second shift today. He was pretty good on the faceoffs and had 3 break-aways down the ice. He has pretty good acceleration to get a one step lead on the pack. On one of the break-aways he scored so he is one mighty happy player. He is number 66 with the name Cupelli on the back of the jersey. Click here to see more pics.

Friends Getting Together

Wenda got together with a friend from her days of teaching. Linda has a very positive outlook and a love of life that is certainly catchy. Too often we loose track with our friends and fellow workers after retirement. Today was special as old friends got together to share stories about work, grandkids and an optomism of a positive future. Click here for a couple more pics of Wenda and Linda.

True Grit

I like to watch both Quinten and Aiden play soccer to see their skills developing. Today, Aiden had a good game. He scored 2 of the 3 goals but was found near his own goaly most of the time, and talking to his teammates too much of the time. But then he goes into the mele and drives hard with the ball. Today he was passing more in front of the opponent net but there usually was not a good striker on hand to use that pass. He has great acceleration and fancy footwork when he gets in traffic. He is signing up for the rep league in soccer this summer where he will get additional coaching assistance. Click here to see more pics of the game.
