Princess Lexy

Since both Lexy and Lilly have birthdays so close together, its best to have one big girls party. So there is a huge jumping castle complete with slide and a huge Hip of Beef on a gigantic BBQ.

Quinten's Last Tournament Game

It was the end of the season for Quinten's team, and he did not waste any time in scoring some goals. Quinten plays the role of the sweeper, a specialized defense person that is the last line of defense between the opposition and the goalie. That is where he takes possession and works his magic toward the opposing net. I think Quin is going to miss his soccer. Just Add Water

At the end of year party for both the U9 Boys and U9 girls, there is a lot of splashing, yelling and screaming when they all go on the raft.

Lilly Pond

Wenda's neice Amanda has a trailer at the resort and dropped down to the party. She took Lilly for a dip in the pond. What a party.

Quinten's Bellyflop

One of Aiden's soccer team sponsors is Cedar Valley Resort. Both the U9 boys and U9 girls are gavibg a BBQ courtesy of the sponsor. Here Quinten is doing a bellyflop perhaps to impress the girls.

LILLY WALKS

Just days ahead of her first birthday, Lilly starts walking. She has pretty much taught herself to walk by navigating around the furniture. Then it was takin a step shortcut between different bits of furniture. Today she put together 4 steps. Click here to see a few more photos of Lilly taking steps.

Snakes and Ladders

Nothing like waking up at sunrise to the sound of a dozen bits of heavy machinery in your back yard. Welding, concrete pumping, and iron workers all get into the act. Wenda sleeps through it all.

Quinten's Toad

What happens when you're a boy of 6 and you find a toad? Why you bring him into the house and introduce him to Nana and Papa. Of course the toad has other ideas - wriggles and jumps to new freedom under the furniture where the boy can't reach.
All in a day in the life of a six year old.

The Wooden Bike

This 86 year old gentleman is no slouch. He ordered an electric motor from Taiwan and built himself an electric bike out of wood. It should be an inspiration to my 92 year old father-in-law who is quite the inovator himself.

Nick Visits

Wenda's niece Amanda brought her son Nick over for a visit. Nick is just 4 months old and cute as a button.

Winning Gold in Ottawa

We went to Ottawa with high hopes of winning a medal, but we certainly had not expected to take the gold. In the end it was a hard fought battle against the Oshawa Turuls, a team that had beatten us the last two times we faced them. Our skill at passing was checked by a swarming type of aggresion. The regulation time expired with a tie game. It was settled with penalty kicks and there we prevailed. As team manager, I shared in Aiden's golden victory.

Aiden Man of the Match

Aiden won Man of the Match award for his perseverence and multiple shots on net. Left side, right side, off the right post, and off the top bar. They won 2 of their 3 games on Saturday and are probably in 2nd place.  Tomorrow the finals.

Riding Along on a Carousel

Aiden spent the last week at a high level hockey camp. In this picture he is doing cross cuts while keeping in contact with the carousel. When the trainer gets on, the wheel speeds up and eventually Newton's laws have their full effect.
