It was an interesting experiment in photography to capture the hula hoop with little LED's going around. It sure did make an interesting effect.

Lexy's Birthday
We did not think that we would be able to get Lexy's birthday party in today as her mom is not feeling well. Frank took her to the store expecting her to pick out the Princess Cake that she had told her dad about earlier. Surprise surprise but Lexy picked out the cake with the cars on it. She said the boys would love it, and so it appears in the picture they did. Lexy got some lovely presents and proceeded to play with her dolls after the unwrapping was taken care of. She was too little to operate the hoop-de-hoop she wanted for her birthday but it was not long before Nana became a wizard at it ... then the boys became wizards too.

Waiting For Baby
Its another day of keeping the kids out of her hair as we wait for baby. Its actually Lexy's birthday today, and even that is a postponed celebration. The kids loved the beach and were soon all topless making the

Upside Down Kid
While waiting for baby to arrive, we took the kids outside for some activity time. Wenda crawled into the trampoline to help Aiden do a flip.

End of Soccer Season
Aiden's soccer for the U8 REP season ended with a tournament in North Toronto this weekend. They won just one of the 3 games that they played but the games were very close. He had a couple moves as smooth as Fred Astaire as he waltzed in twice between a group of defenders bobbing and weaving his way to the doorstep of that opposing team. It was pur poetry in motion. Today the team has a party to end the season. You might think he has time to take it easy, but not so ... he has a hockey REP practice at 4:30 in the afternoon .... it never ends.

Quinten's Last Tournament of The Season
Quinten's end of the year soccer tournament was this Saturday, and he sure made the best of it. I think he scored 90% of the goals in the two games he played. Even when he was strictly assigned to play defense and pass the ball, he managed another goal. It was quite the day for him and his team mates ended up with two medals each for the day. Great soccer player Quin.

A Date At Toronto Football Club
We were given a pair of tickets for Satuday's TFC game against Real Salt Lake a team which was on top of the league last year. In spite of the thunderstorm forecast, we went and had a great time in ideal weather. An even bigger surprise was that TFC won the game. We had a great night out cheering for the home team.

Make a Wish Sharon
It was a special day for Sharon who now passes a milestone and becomes a true "Senior". We could not let that one go uncelebrated so I arranged to take Sharon and David out for dinner. What David and Sharon did not know is that they would be joining 10 friends for dinner at Boston Pizza. When we arrived, we were directed to our table but oddly enough, all the others at the table hid behind their menus until the birthday girl approached.

BBQ With Suddsy
My old friend Jim Suddard known to one and all as Suddsy was in town for a BBQ at our place on Tuesday with some of our friends, David and Sharon, Leigh and Sylvie, Beverley and Philip. In spite of the odd mosquito, the party went on into the night as Suddsy continued to play his tunes until well after 10 pm.
Thanks Suddsy for making it a hit evening.

Quinten Scores from Half Field
We all knew that Quinten had a terrific kick, but you should have seen the jaws of the parents when Quinten socred from mid-field with a kick that went high and arcing over the players before finding its way into the net. Of the six goals scored, Quinten had 5 of them. All that practicing with his older brother has really paid off. Click here to see a few more pictures from his game.
