Leigh and Sylvia 50th Anniversary

Friends of ours celebrated their very special anniversary today. I was just a couple miles away the day they were married though we would not meet till much later in life, a thousand miles away.
Their daughters threw a lovely surprise party for them at a local restaurant

Something we can both relate to.

Honeymoon Suite

Wenda and I  have booked in to a lovely room overlooking the falls. You can see that the American Falls on the left, is frozen over. Funny how it takes a hockey tournament to get us here with a view like this.

Suddsy Dropped By

Suddsy was in town for his dad's 90th, it was a short notice visit. He played some of the new times that he has been working on. Next summer's backyard concert should be pretty good.

Thanks Eagles

This year Aiden's Atom hockey team was twinned with the local Junior C team. Aiden had two big brothers that would mentor him and be role models. We attended a lot of the Eagles games, and tonight was the end of their season. Aiden's team attended that last practice wearing their tournament Jerseys, sat on the bench with their Eagles buddies, and brought cake.

Everyone's Cuddle Time

All part of the adjustment when you return to Canada. I have to stop myself from speaking outloud when I visit the stores. I find myself saying "Do you know I could buy this for half that price in Florida?"  It just takes a while to adjust.

She Shoots She Scores

It was parents against the kids hockey for Quin's team. Quin lined up against his mom and started showing her who is  the boss, but Tracy showed Quin she could dish it out too. Here Tracy, who never held a hockey stick in her life before, scored a goal.

3 inches in Kentucky

-3 c and sunny as we head north. No more tshirts, sandals and shorts.

Frosty Mountains

The trees in the foggy hills of Tennessee are pretty with a coating of frost from overnight. At noon it's just -3 c.

57 Chevy

We've all seen lots of 57 Chevs, but this one was done in a semi gloss black with light tangerine subtle accents. The engine is a chromed 454 with an ignition coil sitting on the top of each cylinder, just like the new Corvettes.

What a Difference a Day Makes

It was just yesterday that David Staples and I were having fun on the beach at 7 c. One day later, I am now getting strange looks in McDonalds as I am sitting here with tshirt and shorts when it's just 7c outside.

Stupidest Woman Alive

Here we have a 5 foot woman walking up to get a close-up view of a 12 foot wild alligator. The gator can run faster than a horse for a short distance. This chick, facing the gator is just 20 feet from him. I wonder if she feels lucky today. They dumb add boyfriend got even closer and knelt down facing the gator. Pretty stupid move.

Devil Went Down to Georgia

These two guys really rocked the place in Safety Barbour. The music was fantastic. The fact that it's 80F and sunny helps make the mood I guess.
