Lilly's First Present

Each year we have been invited to the Cupelli Christmas Ever Feast. The kids get a few presents after dinner then go home to bed so Santa can come.

Two days and still no hydro. The entire town is without power and no utility vehicles in site.

Ice Storm of 2013

We've been without power for 24 hours. An inch of ice everywhere. Broken tree limbs crashing down every minute. What a mess !!!

Ice On Trees

The trees are already covered but another 15mm of ice will be added tonight. Can those poor branches near up to the load ???

Mudsucker Returns

Our street is closed, and it looks like the entire fleet of hydro equipment has invaded. In front of our house, the mudsucker is at work to find buried services to our house, a backhoe is digging a trench for the 44,000 volt line, and a pole truck has another crew working. Hydro feels this job will be done in 2013 ... ????

Can't Take Her Anywhere

It was a quiet day in Canadian Tire, and I was teasing Lilly that I would take her raisins. She got even with me in the checkout. She points at my nose and says "booger".  A few minutes later we are in Walmart, it's quiet and while pushing Lilly, I pass a relatively quiet wiffle. Lilly shouts out "Papa fart!!!". It sad her first day using that word.

Griswalds of Pickering

I'm our way back from Niagara the bus driver was persuaded to drive by "Griswald Lane" in south Pickering. Two houses have an annual competition to see which one CA have the biggest display. I pitty the poor guy in the house in between.

Christmas Show Niagara Falls

For the last few years, we have gone to Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls to see the spectacular Christmas show, courtesy of our friends David and Sharon Staples. This year there was an ice revue on two ice surfaces.  It was a fantastic show with singing and dancing. What a show!!!! 

Low Rider

On a put stop to Niagara Falls today, we saw this neat custom truck. It had an air tank in the rear with 4 lines going from it to the air shocks. This one was owned by the kids mother.
