Hockey Camp

Aiden is at hockey camp in Peterborough this week. He is on the ice 5 hours a day  and loving it. Here he has to balance his stick vertically on the ice, let go and catch his partners stick before it falls.

Lilly Loves The Cake

Palmers brought a lovely cake to our Pot Luck dinner. Their daughter Deanna us a,cake decorator. Wow!

The Sneak Attack

We have a fancy bidet toilet in our 'en suite' bathroom. It has different nozzle jets for guys and gals. It even has an air fan for a dry cycle. There is just one little problem, Lilly likes to grab the controls and push buttons, while I am seated. She's just out of reach and making the machine go through all cycles. Yikes!!!!

Perfect Day for a Ball Game

Dave, Sharon and   Alecia accompanied us for dinner and the ball game. Jays vs Dodgers. What a lovely evening.

New Way of Digging

A crew came by this morning to dig the holes for the new hydro poles on the street. The guy uses high pressure water to cut the soil and a large and powerful vacuum to sick up stones dirt and rocks. No mess and it doesn't damage underground pipes or cables.

My Great Helper Josh

My granddaughter Amber has a very fine man in  her life. Today he helped me to re-lay the patio stones along the side of our house. They make a nice couple and we're always glad to have them visit.

Battle of the Ghetto Blasters

A neighbour 4 houses down has been playing his 90's rock soooo loud that we could not enjoy our back yard. Only one thing to do ... Crank up those 'Country Tunes ' on the deck and dance.

Hat Trick Plus 1

Aiden had a very successful soccer game tonight. Playing against Pickering, Aiden scored 4 goals. What's more impressive is the way the boys worked the ball by passing to one another.

Hockey Tournament in July

Wenda and Allan took Aiden to an international hockey tournament in Niagara Falls this last weekend. It was a nice vacation for us, as the pool was in an interior courtyard where the kids could swim, and run around in the interior courtyard. Aiden played well, and the team came home with second place medals. 

A Lilly Amongst The Flowers

Lilly spent Canada day with us. She sure can keep you on your toes.  She is a fast runner and takes off in a flash. If it has suddenly gone quiet, Lilly is into something.  At the end of the day, we all sleep like babies, tired and looking for a bottle.

Toronto FC Game

I don't know why, but Toronto is winning 3 to 1 at 26 min into the game ... most unusual !!!
