My Topless Neighbour

Some of you may have been expecting a different picture, nevertheless this is what is happening behind my house as five houses are coming down to make way for the new "No Frills" store being constructed behind our house.  The machinery starts at 8am so no more sleeping in for Wenda.

Lilly is Sitting Up

She sure is a wonderful model to work with. Lilly is all joy and happiness and that is all the more remarkable considering that she just cut her first tooth today. The boys are finishing their regular hockey season. Quinten has really improved his skating skills this year and I have a couple photos of him today on the website. They were short some players and when the goalie had to go off, they asked Quin to step in between the pipes, and he did a great job even getting a save.
Lilly came by to get a picture for the family grouping since we have the other 3 kids in a combined picture, it was time to get one of Lilly to add to the collection. I have a couple more poses in the slideshow today.
Our neighbourhood is being destroyed. 5 houses that are directly behind our house are being demolished to make way for a "No Frills" store. Today, the heavy equipment is knocking down the trees ... tomorrow they'll crunch the houses.

Lilly's Sleepover

She sits up and plays with her toys.  Lilly is real easy to look after right now. The most she can do is a couple of rollovers.  But she will be getting mobile pretty soon.

A Dolfin Tale

We went to the Clearwater Sea Aquarian today to see where the movie A Dolphin's Tale was made. Yes we even did see Winter the dolfin that was missing its tail. Wenda got real close and personal with a Moray Ell and we had some amazingly close facetime with a huge turtle that looked so much like ET from the movie of the same name. The pirate ship came by our beach again and shot its cannon once more. Earlier in the day we went to see the gators in the park and at sunset we gathered on the beach with our friends to see the setting sun .... how romantic. Day at Clearwater Beach

Today was one of our last real hot day in the 80's so we thought we would take a walk along the beach and relax with in our chairs with our friends. Lots of young guys practice surfing from the shore. They run and toss the wee surfboard along the surface close to the shore then jump on it and ride it into the breaking waves along shore. A couple days before we went for a walk along a nature trail with David and Sharon. We saw some Cormorant birds along the shore. Today, when one of our gang brought out some chips to snack on ... at the beach, you should see how fast the Terns arrived and dove on us. Today we got lots of sun and are as brown as a nut.

Birds on the Beach

I was walking on the beach in Clearwater doing a bit of birdwatching. I took a picture of a SNIPE and a seagull then I found this one. Oddly enough just taking pictures of birds here got me in trouble. Click here to see the guy who disapproved.

Limpkin Flight

Yesterday we went with our friends Sharon and David on a nature trail walk. In addition to these beautiful birds, a couple of gators usually hang out in the same pond. We could not find them but at the same time we did not venture near the tall grasses by the edge of the pond. Gators can do 40 mph in short bursts.
Today lots of good deals at the stores with 80% off on many items. Tomorrow, we get to see one of those famous Florida flea markets and take in a movie.

Yes, the super white sand of Clearwater is just that close. This picture was taken from our entrance to our beach house. 80 F and sunny.

Tampa Bay NHL

We were at the game. Just 6 rows up from the glass. Hate to think what those tickets would have cost in Toronto.  It was great to see NHL play up close.

Having a wonderful time. The temperature is lovely 25C. It is so nice and we are just a half block from the super white sands of the beach. We are off to the Tampa Bay NHL game this evening. The sun is coming out ... life is good.
