Pro Soccer in Toronto

2
It was a perfect day to go see the Toronto soccer team play at BMO field in downtown Toronto. The rain ended, sun came out, and we had a great time with Aiden's soccer team in attendance. I think we shall come back here again.

At BMO Field in Toronto

It looks like my droid camera too a whacky picture or two here but our friends David and Sharon accompanied us to the BMO field for a great day of soccer. It was supposed to rain but the weather turned out to be just perfect as we sat with parents and kids from Aiden's Rep Soccer team.

Tracy's Birthday

Today was the traditional Palm Sunday dinner at the home of Carmella and Louigi, Tracy's in-laws. It also happens to be Tracy's Birthday so as always, the kids get to help with the blowing out of the candles. In spite of the hostess being rushed to the hospital for a viral attack, we all had a great traditional Italian dinner. Our thoughts though are with Carmella and we hope she gets well soon.

Final Day of Hockey

Standing behind Aiden are the 5 men that have been behind the bench guiding him during this last season. Throughout the year they have helped shaped a healthy sense of sportsmanship and fair play. We thank them.
Aiden got his trophy as well as a special medal for persistence as judged by his fellow peers.
Now his REP soccer season begins. On Saturday his team played in a Tiering tournament in Whitby. They won two and tied one game. Aiden, though playing defense was able to get a goal on a rebound.  It appears that we have a few weeks of relative quiet before the soccer season gets rolling.

6 Pack Birthday

We are grateful for our friends David and Sharon for putting together a birthday celebration Tuesday as we came over for cards.  Having great friends takes the sting out of the number of candles on the cake.  Had a great time - thanks 6-Pack friends.

Wenda's Big Birthday

Birthdays are fun days but some birthdays have just a tad more significance. Wenda reached the big one this week and her son Terry along with his mate Natalie went all out to celebrate this one.  Terry and Natalie have a new house in Oshawa and you can also see the fruits of his labours in renovating the living room and kitchen. He removed the wall between kitchen and living room, installed new flooring and totally redid the kitchen. Click here to see more pictures

Street art in Toronto

This is a chalk type drawing on Yonge street at Dundas. What an amazing talent to be able to render this image on what is a sidewalk canvas. Philip and I were just killing time while we were waiting for our friends David and Sharon to get in on their bus from Buffalo.
