The End of Quinten's Soccer Season

This week heralded the last day of Quinten's soccer league. In the entry level league, every kid is a winner, and each is a star. I am sure that he enjoyed playing soccer as he often practices with his big brother's team where he feels that he is a team member as well. Unfortunately he does not like the fact that he cannot play on Aiden's team during the regular games. Click here to see Quinten getting his certificate and medal.

Aaron and Megan's Engagement

I had the honour and pleasure of doing Megan and Aaron's engagement photoshoot. I have been taking the pictures and tweaking them then putting it all into a book layout. Here is the draft copy of the layout as it would appear in the book. Click here to see all 20 pages of the book. Please set the slideshow to its slowest speed (20 seconds) by clicking on the on-screen + key. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Near Niagara Falls

We visited Niagara on the Lake last weekend. While there Wenda's dad Ken and I visited the old Fort Niagara which was over-run by the American forces in 1813 only to be taken back 7 months later by a superior for of Canadian and British soldiers. This man is the artfacteur of the fort, performing maintence duties.
Niagara on the Lake is reknown by the New York Times as one of the 31 most important sites to visit. Most people come here for the theatre productions which are first class. Indeed, one of the plays we saw was without a doubt one of the best we have ever seen. It was a very successful weekend with great weather, food, sightseeing and of course the Shaw Festival theatre productions.

My Retirement Team

Here is the team that is going to help me get used to 'retirement'. Gone is the old corporate model and in with the new slimmed down model where the focus is on fun and the currency is freezies. Yes, paper money does not hold much persuasion with this team, but fruit snack bars, tickles and riding on our bikes seems to be of very high importance with this transitional team. I highly recommend it!

Cupelli Family

Back Row - Judy, Carmen, Carmella, Luigi, Frank, Tracy, Lisa
Front Row - Aiden, Quinten, Lexy
It has been a busy year getting Tracy and Frank's new house prepared, and for one reason or another, the traditional Easter dinner at Cupelli's had to be postponed until today. Carmella always excells at cooking and this year was no exception. It is great to get together as families for festive occasions. Unfortunately for my wasteline, I am blessed with a number of friends who know how to cook delicious meals. Oh well, the diet can start ... t o m o r r o w!
